Oceanside boys, girls basketball top Camden-Rockport

The Oceanside and Camden-Rockport seventh and eighth grade boys and girls basketball teams faced off Monday, Dec. 5 in Busline League action. 

7th Boys: Oceanside 44, Camden-Rockport 37

Camden-Rockport held a 9-6 lead after the opening quarter before the game entered halftime tied at 15. Oceanside held a narrow 30-28 advantage following the third quarter. 

Scoring for Oceanside were Reid Robishaw (21 points), Nathan Walton (14), Mike O’Hara Damon (three), Emrik Carlson (three), Kaden Curtis (two) and Jordan Sedgwick (one). 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Cole Hedrich (15 points), Soren Johnson (11), Emmett Millikan (four), Hector Clayton (three), Benjamin Wyman (two) and Isaac Palmer (two). 

8th Girls: Oceanside 50, Camden-Rockport 49 (OT)

Camden-Rockport led 14-8 after the first quarter and 24-22 after the second before Oceanside possessed a 39-33 lead after the third quarter.

The two squads finished regulation tied at 43. 

Scoring for Oceanside were Charlotte Quinn (four points), Grace Mackie (28), Abby Stackpole (15) and Charlotte Steevens (three). 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Katie Scott (four points), Brooklyn Rollins (eight), Rita Harlem (two), Madi Robinson (two), Gabby Martin (11), Ali Sylvester (two), Hannah Stone (18) and Carly Fitzpatrick (two).
