The Owls Head Village Library celebrated the reopening of its children's room with an open house and rededication ceremony on Saturday, June 18. The event was made possible due to the participation and cooperation of the Owls Head Baptist Church for generous use of their parking lot and yard space, etc.

According to the Library, about 150 people over four hours, authors Chris Van Dusen and Stephen Costanza gave readings of their latest books. Uproot Pie Company provided free pizza thanks to a generous donor and a ribbon cutting.

    The children's room is now open Wednesdays, from 2 - 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Owls Head General Store is providing a FREE piece of their famous fudge to any child who comes in and shows a book checked out from the library for the months of July and August.

The library thanks a generous private donor who provided the idea and the funds.
