THOMASTON — Watts Hall Community Arts will offer two opportunities to celebrate New Year’s Eve on Thursday, Dec. 31, with a family-friendly NOON Year’s Eve party featuring Fun Run from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by an evening celebration with The Right Track from 9 p.m. to midnight.

The day begins with NOON Year’s Eve, an early New Year’s celebration designed with families and young children in mind. Maine-based kindie rock band Fun Run will bring an hour of upbeat, interactive music, inviting children and their grown-ups to sing, dance, and celebrate together. The festivities will culminate in a countdown to noon and a sparkling grape juice toast, giving little ones all the excitement of New Year’s Eve without having to stay up past bedtime.

For those ready to celebrate into the evening, The Right Track will return to Watts Hall for a New Year’s Eve dance party. This high-energy, 11-piece band brings together musicians from South Thomaston to Belfast, with a shared goal of keeping the dance floor full.

"Blending soul, funk, and classic R&B, The Right Track is known for its tight musicianship, dynamic vocal harmonies, and what the band calls the funkiest horn section north of Boston," said Watts Hall Community Arts, in a news release.

"Whether celebrating with the whole family during the day or dancing into the new year with friends in the evening, Watts Hall offers two ways to make December 31st a memorable occasion," said Community Arts.
