New Year’s Day Open House at Beech Hill Preserve
ROCKPORT — On New Year’s Day, ring in the new year at Beech Hill Preserve. Festivities will take place from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
"Enjoy hot chocolate, good company, and a warm fire in the Beech Nut," said Coastal Mountains Land Trust, in a news release. "The candle-lit chandeliers will be flickering as well."
Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided while supplies last; "you're welcome to bring your leftover holiday cookies, too," said CMLT.
This event is free and open to everyone. No registration is required.
Directions: Parking is available at 316 Beech Hill Rd in Rockport. Additional parking is available in the neighboring field, designated by signs. The stone hut is at the top of the hill following a 0.6 mile farm road walking trail with steady elevation.
Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13,000 acres, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation.
