ROCKPORT — A new dental office in Rockport aims to bring state-of-the-art dentistry to Midcoast Maine, according to a news release.
“PenBay Dental, in Rockport, has employed the very latest available technology to make care as modern, comfortable, and convenient as possible,” said PenBay Dental, in the release.
Dr. Sarah Bouchard, a general dentist who has served Midcoast Maine since 2017, just opened PenBay Dental’s brand-new Rockport office.
“I’ve never loved being in the dental chair personally, so I built my new office with the goal to make everything about dental visits easier,” Bouchard said. “As a busy mom to three little kids, I know the importance of being able to schedule any time of day, especially online from your phone.”
PenBay Dental boasts many conveniences like online scheduling 24/7, an innovative handheld digital x-ray device with the lowest possible radiation exposure, and air polishing to clean teeth (which is a revolutionary
technology that dramatically minimizes the traditional scraping).
“New technology – like the Airflow cleaning system, CEREC same-day crowns, and state-of-the-art drills – makes being in the dental chair more comfortable and quicker than ever,” Bouchard explains.
Bouchard is also a big fan of dental photography. PenBay Dental has small cameras that are used during every visit to photograph the teeth, keep track of changes over time, and show patients any pertinent details. Dental photography allows patients to see what’s going on inside their mouths, which leads to a far greater understanding of treatment recommendations. The photographs also help with getting insurance coverage for various procedures because the photos make it much harder to deny claims.
She adds that the new office still practices the good old-fashioned values of honesty, integrity, and kindness.
“Everyone is welcome at PenBay Dental,” Bouchard says. “And all are treated with care and respect.”
Dr. Bouchard was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area, and learned the ropes as a new dentist working with her dad, Dr. Norman Bouchard, at the practice he started on Capitol Hill in the 1970s. PenBay Dental is the culmination of Dr. Bouchard’s 15 years of experience in two different private practices and one corporate dental office. Dr. Bouchard has incorporated the best elements of all her previous dental offices to provide the most pleasant dental visit possible.
“I’m excited to introduce Midcoast Maine to my new dental practice, meet wonderful new patients, and continue care for those who already know me,” Dr. Bouchard said. “I have a top-notch team of caring and experienced dental professionals, and we all look forward to seeing your smile!”
