ROCKPORT — A new dental office in Rockport aims to bring state-of-the-art dentistry to Midcoast Maine, according to a news release.

“PenBay Dental, in Rockport, has employed the very latest available technology to make care as modern, comfortable, and convenient as possible,” said PenBay Dental, in the release.

Dr. Sarah Bouchard, a general dentist who has served Midcoast Maine since 2017, just opened PenBay Dental’s brand-new Rockport office.

“I’ve never loved being in the dental chair personally, so I built my new office with the goal to make everything about dental visits easier,” Bouchard said. “As a busy mom to three little kids, I know the importance of being able to schedule any time of day, especially online from your phone.”

Bouchard is also a big fan of dental photography. Dental photography allows patients to see what’s going on inside their mouths, which leads to a far greater understanding of treatment recommendations. The photographs also help with getting insurance coverage for various procedures because the photos make it much harder to deny claims.

She adds that the new office still practices the good old-fashioned values of honesty, integrity, and kindness.

Dr. Bouchard was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area, and learned the ropes as a new dentist working with her dad, Dr. Norman Bouchard, at the practice he started on Capitol Hill in the 1970s.
