MIDCOAST – The Midcoast Women’s Collective is ready for a new season including the fall series of Collective Voices, with a slightly changed name, and new website.

The new name drops Collective leaving more emphasis on the main audience, Midcoast Women. Midcoast Women provides opportunities for area women of all ages to find and strengthen our individual and shared voices.

The fall series of Collective Voices kicks off with “Toasting Talent: Wine, Cheese & Chocolate!” On Thursday, October 25th, at the Breakwater Vineyards in Owls Head.

The November 15 program “Making on Main(e) Street” at the Rockland Public Library, will be followed by “Gen Z'er Activists:The Next Generation” on December 11, at the Camden Public Library.

All programs are open to the public. More information about these programs can be found on the new Midcoast Women website, midcoastwomen.org and the Facebook page, Midcoast Women.

The new website provides archived programs including the audio for the storytellers of the 2017-18 Collective Voices programs. Visitors to the website can meet the team that plans the programs and offer ideas for upcoming programs and storytellers.

Midcoast Women cofounder, Pam Maus said in a news release, “We came together as a result of the 2016 presidential election in recognition of the need to strengthen and amplify the voices of women. In response to public support for the first season of Collective Voices, we look forward to hosting more storytellers and Midcoast Women during the 2018-19 season of Collective Voices.”
