Midsummer I at New Era Gallery on Vinalhaven will feature the work of botanical artist Curly Lieber and painter Heather Reeves Blake.  Lieber works with graphite on paper and watercolor on natural vellum to make botanical art that is fresh and contemporary.  Blake’s paintings reflect her love of the Vinalhaven landscape and its ever-changing light.

The show will open Saturday, July 12, with an artists’ talk at 4:30 p.m. in the Windy Way Barn followed by a reception from 5 to 7 p.m.  The show runs through July 26.
