WALDOBORO — The Waldoboro Public Library will be offering “Writing From Life,” a spring writing workshop beginning in March. The five-session workshop will meet on alternate Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m., at the library on the following dates: March 13, March 27, April 10, April 24, and May 8.

This workshop is to encourage and support participants in their writing practice. All levels, from novice to experts, are welcome.

The workshop will be facilitated by Nancy Hayden who is a writer, educator, ecologist, and artist, as well as a World War One and early 20th century history buff. She is particularly interested in encouraging community members to share their experiences and stories through writing.

Hayden has an MFA in creative writing and has published fiction and nonfiction in anthologies and magazines. She and her husband are coauthors of Farming on the Wild Side: The Evolution of a Regenerative Organic Farm and Nursery.

The workshop is free, but registration is necessary because it is limited to ten participants. To register for the workshop or for more information, please call the library at 832-4484 or email to info@waldoboro.lib.me.us.
