ROCKPORT — Grab your broomsticks and mark your calendars. On Saturday, Oct. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m., the Penobscot Bay YMCA invites the entire community to an afternoon of Halloween fun at The Monster Mash 

"This [free] family-friendly event in Rockport promises wicked fun for everyone with lots of activities that will get you into the Halloween spirit," said the YMCA, in a news release.

Highlights include:

• The Vampire’s Ball – Don your favorite costume and dance your way through a Halloween wonderland.

• Wicked Fun Inflatables – Tackle the jumbo obstacle course, challenge your friends to Tic Tac Toe Basketball, or enjoy the bouncy house, perfect for the littlest goblins! Sponsored by Camden National Bank.

• Floating Pumpkin Patch – Take a spooky swim and see if you can pick the perfect pumpkin while floating in the pool!

• Make Your Own Monster Craft & Tattoos – Get creative with DIY monster crafts and temporary tattoos.

• Haunted Photo Booth – Snap some eerie photos with your family and friends in our haunted booth.

• Rock Climbing – Scale new heights on our rock-climbing wall, perfect for all skill levels.

• Fire Truck Tours – Get an up-close look at a real fire truck and meet our local firefighters.

• Frankenstein’s Lab – Discover some spooky science experiments in our eerie lab!

• No Tricks…Just Treats for Sale! – Stop by the concession stand for delicious treats, with all proceeds going to support the Swim Team Fundraiser.

"This event promises a hauntingly good time for all ages, so gather your family, friends, and neighbors for an afternoon filled with Halloween magic," said the Y.
