ROCKLAND – The Pine Tree Wrestling League held the Eastern Regional meet at Oceanside East High School Saturday in front of a packed and excited house of fans.

Fourteen schools and individuals vied for the right to advance to the PTWL State Championships next Saturday, March 28 at Cony High School.

The local teams will be sending a good representation to the league championships as Oceanside had five champions; Troy Howard three; Medomak two; and and HAL (Hope, Appleton, Lincolnville) one.

The top four wrestlers in each weight class will battle against the top four from the Western Regionals. In total 43-of-64 possible slots from the East were filled by local area coverage schools. Troy Howard will send 13 wrestlers, Medomak 11, Oceanside seven, Mount View five, HAL four and Camden-Rockport three.
