Medomak Valley High School honors Jennifer Hatch with Horace Mann Crystal Apple for a Distinguished Educator award

Medomak Valley High School has awarded the Horace Mann Crystal Apple for a Distinguished Educator for a number of years.
Jennifer (Baum) Hatch, 2008 MVHS alum and now 10-year veteran educator, is the recipient of this year’s award.
Hatch holds deep knowledge for science and expertly motivates and enables students to be successful in the same. Her dedication, expertise, and high expectations tempered with gracious and tenacious support, positively impact student success on a daily basis.
“We are so proud of Mrs. Hatch!” said RSU 40, in a news release.
The Horrace Mann’s Crystal Apple Award is a local educator recognition program that recognizes educators. Horace Mann was the first Secretary of the Massachusetts Board of Education, a Member of the United States House of Representatives, and President of Antioch College. He advocated that everyone should receive a public education and played a leading role in establishing the elementary school system in the U.S.
