VASSALBORO — Two area high school golf teams hit the road to Vassalboro on Saturday, Oct. 5 to participate in the Class B state championship at the Natanis Golf Course.

Qualifying from the area for the state tournament as a team were Belfast and Medomak Valley.

Medomak finished eighth shooting a 385, while information on Belfast was not available.

The next event for area golfers will be the individual state championships Saturday, Oct. 12 at Natanis. 

Carson Murphy (Medomak Valley), Sean Sebrey (Medomak Valley), Thomas Parker (Belfast), James Ritter (Belfast), Tommy Walker (Belfast) and Austin Chilles (Oceanside) qualified for the individual state golf tournament.
