Medomak 7th boys basketball falls in season opener

WOOLWICH — The Medomak Middle School seventh grade boys basketball team traveled to Woolwich for a season opening contest Tuesday, Nov. 26. 

Woolwich held quarterly advantages of 12-6, 26-13 and 36-19 en route to a 50-30 victory for the hosts. 

The Medomak Middle School boys 7th grade basketball team dropped their opening game with a 50-30 loss at Woolwich.

“The young men played hard throughout the contest but were outmatched by a stronger Woolwich squad,” said Medomak coach Pat Delahanty of his Medomak team. 

Scoring for Woolwich was led by E. Rainier (26 points) and T. McFarland (12). 

Scoring for Medomak were Vishal Mellor (13 points), Cameron Ryan (three), Gabe Lash (three), Gavin White (two), Jack Martin (two), Jacob Hendrickson (two), Donald Havener (two) and Aiden Abbotoni (one).

The Riverhawks will look to collect is first victory Wednesday, Nov. 4 on the road against Oceanside in Thomaston.
