Medomak 7th basketball splits with Nobleboro

NOBLEBORO — The seventh grade boys and girls basketball teams from Medomak Middle School traveled Wednesday, Jan. 26 to Nobleboro to compete. 

Girls: Nobleboro 33, Medomak 30

Medomak held a narrow 8-6 lead after the opening quarter before Nobleboro carried a slim 13-12 lead at the halftime break. Following the third quarter, Medomak once again was in the lead, 27-23. 

Scoring for Medomak were Paige Gerlack (four points), Sidney Nicholls (four), Rachel Barbour (four), Grace Havener (11) and Lilly Hills (seven). 

Scoring for Nobleboro were N. Martin (four points), L. Smith (two), L. Labrie (six), A. Giberson (two), B. Lafrengye (four), C. Ward (seven), R. Coffin (eight). 

Boys: Medomak 63, Nobleboro 33

Medomak held quarterly advantages of 16-10, 20-17 and 47-21. 

Scoring for Medomak were Joe Wilcox (10 points), Brayden Nadeau (10), Noah Taggert (10), Landon Starr (eight), Kollin Donlin (seven), Clark Elwell (six), Liam Feeley (four), Landon Morrison (two), Grady White (two), Andrew Flanders (two) and Wyatt Hood (two). 

Scoring for Nobleboro were Otto Gibberson (12 points), Jacob Hedrick (10), Josh Ward (four), Oliver Blakesley (three), Gage Hopkins (two) and Brady Weaver (two). 

With the win, the Riverhawks close out the regular season with an unblemished 9-0 record.
