ORONO — The Oceanside varsity field hockey team hit the road Tuesday, Sept. 24 for a contest against Maine Central Institute at the University of Maine in Orono. 

In the rain-filled contest, the host Huskies blanked the visiting Mariners 4-0. 

With the loss, Oceanside’s record dropped to 1-6. 

Scoring for Maine Central Institute were Jillian Frost (three) and Ella Lauder. Gracie Moore collected one assisted.

Maine Central Institute registered 14 corners and 15 shots. 

Oceanside tallied two corners and one shot. 

Dawn Moss had one save for the Huskies, while Oceanside’s Alexa Barstow recorded 11. 

The next match for Oceanside will come Thursday, Sept. 26 on the road against Belfast at 4 p.m.
