Maine Boat & Home postpones 2024 summer event, plans return in 2025
ROCKLAND — Organizers of the Maine Boat & Home Show have announced the postponement of this year’s event on Rockland’s waterfront until summer 2025, due to staffing issues and unforeseen circumstances.
The show, which was launched by Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors magazine in 2003, is held the second weekend in August. It is the largest in-water boat show north of Boston, and the three-day event typically draws thousands of people to Midcoast Maine for a celebration of boats, art, jewelry, furniture and other crafts, as well as the makers.
“It is important to us that we produce the highest quality show possible for our attendees and our exhibitors,” said Ted Ruegg, publisher of Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors, in a news release. “These unexpected issues have us eager to recalibrate this summer, and work through the rest of 2024 and into next year to bring you a better than ever show in 2025.”
Ruegg said it was unfortunate to have had to come to this decision, but concluded, “We thank the Rockland community, attendees and exhibitors for their continued support, and we look forward to seeing everyone next year on the Rockland waterfront.”
