Luminary Walk at Head of Tide Preserve with Land Trust and Otter Trails homeschoolers, Dec. 19
BELFAST — Join Coastal Mountains Land Trust and Otter Trails homeschool group for a festive luminary walk along the trails of Head of Tide Preserve in Belfast, on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 4 - 6 p.m.
Otter Trails is a three-day-a-week homeschooling enrichment program for children 8-11 with a focus on nature education and learning through community engagement. This fall, they have been using the Head of Tide preserve as their home base.
This event is free and open to everyone. No registration is required. Hot apple cider will be served while supplies last. Visit coastalmountains.org/events to learn more.
Directions: From downtown Belfast, take Main Street west and immediately turn right onto Waldo Avenue. In 1.5 miles, turn right onto Doak Road. Parking area is on the right immediately after Doak’s Machine Shop.
Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13,000 acres, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation.
