Local trucking company delivers Christmas presents to those in need

WALDOBORO — Northeast Transport of Waldoboro recently made its annual delivery of Christmas presents to families in need throughout Knox and Lincoln counties.
According to the Midcoast trucking company’s president, Jeff Payson, “For the past 20-odd years Northeast Transport has brought free Christmas presents from the Bruce Roberts Toy Fund in Portland to local nonprofits in Lincoln and Knox counties, which then distributes them to families in need.”
Bruce Roberts Toy Fund of Portland provides the gifts and local groups organize their distribution.
