Lincolnville candidates for select board, school committee running unopposed

LINCOLNVILLE — Like Camden, the number of citizens stepping forward to run for open seats on municipal and school boards is meager. The deadline for returning nomination papers was April 12.

David Barrows returned his papers seeking reelection to the Select Board, and he will run unopposed.

Lincolnville has six open seats on the Budget Committee, three of them for three-year terms, and three for two-year terms.

Three people — Petrea Allen, Robin Tarantino and John Williams — all hope to fill the open three-year seats. But no one wants the three empty two-year seats, unless there are write-in candidates.

Jared Harbaugh is seeking to fill the one three-year term on the Lincolnville School Committee (K-8).

As for the empty seat on the Five Town CSD (Camden Hills Regional High School), no one wants it. Unless there are write-in candidates.
