Votes in Knox and Waldo counties had different views about whether to legalize the possession and use of marijuana, with voters in Waldo County voting against the measure, 11,298 to 10,887; and voters in Knox County voting in favor, 12,071 to 11,267.

Statewide, the question overnight Tuesday has not been officially declared one way or the other, as many precincts have yet to finish tabulating and reporting their results and thus far, the results are being reported as 50.88 percent in favor and 49.12 percent opposed. (Source: Bangor Daily News)
