THOMASTON — Katherine Christine Adams, 57 of Thomaston, died in her home, Saturday, April 25, 2020.

Katherine was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Duarte, California. She graduated from California State University and received master degrees from Cal State and UCLA.

She worked as a librarian at rare book and university libraries in Los Angeles, Pasadena, and San Diego in California, at Bowdoin College in Maine, and at Yale University in Connecticut.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather of Apple Valley, California, and her ex-spouse, the Rev. Lael Sorensen, rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Rockland.

A service will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church when it is again safe to gather at religious institutions.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 11 White Street, Rockland, Maine 04841.
