ARGYLE, Texas — Justin Paul Elliot, 41, son of Linda Elliot, passed away on September 27, 2022.

Born in Long Beach, California Justin and his mother quickly moved back to Maine where he provided warmth and light to his family on the East Coast who were instantly in love with the new addition. That joy carried over to his childhood, where Justin spent his days growing up next to his great-grandparents, who were both instrumental in his upbringing and with whom he share a deep love and connection. During his time in South Thomaston, he lived with his mother, former step-father Kenneth Miller, and siblings. He was deeply admired by his siblings and his larger group of cousins, and their families, with whom he spent many summers camping in different areas of Maine.

Justin picked up many hobbies over the years including fishing, dirt biking, and snowmobiling. His love of vehicles picked up when he was old enough to drive, but had humble beginnings with a car dubbed “The Silver Bullet” that had a long life until he and his friends used it as a field bomber, bringing a fair amount of fun to their lives.

After graduating from Rockland District High School in 1999, and having worked a variety of occupations, Justin moved to Boston to live with his grandmother and start a career in the car sales industry where he quickly worked his way into the role of financial manager. While there he met his former partner, Thuy Bui, and helped raise his step-daughters Jasmine and Chelsea Nguyen, and shared a son Ethan. After Ethan’s birth the family moved to Texas. His time in Texas was a new chapter in his life that he took on head-first, making new friends, and creating a loving support system that his New England family will forever be grateful for. No matter where he lived, or who he met, his easy going and generous nature is something that many recall.

Being a father brought Justin unfathomable amounts of joy. Although a man of few words in person, his love for his family was expressed via many social media posts and texts where the pride he felt was loud and clear. As a father some of his best memories included taking his children to experience new things, being on the water with them, and he loved watching his son, Ethan, perform in band where he played saxophone, just like he had.

Justin is survived by his mother, Linda Elliot of Rockland; his son Ethan Elliot; daughters, Chelsea Nguyen and her fiancé Mike Wells of Panama City Beach, Florida, Jasmine Nguyen and her partner Javier Mendez of Argyle, Texas; grand-daughter, Everly Mendez of Argyle, Texas; sister, Nicole and her husband Craig Hatch of Rockland; his brother, Al Miller and partner Anne Gagne of Hope; great-grandfather Paul Chapman of South Thomaston; grandmother Jacqueline Laffely of Thomaston; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. Justin’s family will lay him to rest privately, at a later time.
