Joann Wlodyka, obituary

KNOX — Joann (Jo) Wlodyka, 70, of Knox, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019, in Bangor.

She was born in East Machias, Maine on April 3, 1949, to the late Warren H. and Winifred Clark Gardner.

Jo was a foreman at Eyelet Specialty Company in Wallingford, CT. She was the owner of B.J.’s Bait & Tackle in Meridan, CT; co-owner of The Mill Restaurant Bar and Ice Cream Shop in Belfast, Maine. Later in life, she was the backbone of Warren’s Cannabis Creations in Knox, Maine.

In addition to her parents, Joann was predeceased by her sister, Mattie St. Onge.

Joann is survived by her husband, Herbert Wlodyka; their son, Robert Wlodyka and his wife Pam; grandson, Michael Wlodyka; her sister, Joyce Tower, and many nieces and nephews.

Joann’s family will receive relatives and friends Friday, October, 18, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., in Belfast.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 19, at 10 a.m., at the Wlodyka Family Cemetery 354 Old County Road in Knox.
