LINCOLNVILLE — Jeanette Marie Deane, 77, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. Born in Belfast on April 23, 1945, she was the daughter of Arthur Bicknell and Mary Ella (Tuttle) Macdonald and was a graduate of Crosby High School in Belfast.

On November 21, 1962, she married Richard Paul Deane. Jeanette and Richard lived in Camden many years where they had two sons, Christopher and Mark. In 2014, they moved to Lincolnville.

Jeanette’s early employment included Thomas Fuel in Camden. She will be best remembered for her many years of employment at Tibbetts Industries in Camden where she held several positions working for the company until its closure.

A talented artist, Jeanette enjoyed reverse glass painting, painting on china, and making beautiful artistic creations for family and friends. She also enjoyed craft making of many types, decorated cakes for weddings and other special occasions. She loved to cook and was well known for her culinary skills.

Jeanette really loved watching birds and wildlife and spending time at the family’s remote camp in Northern Maine and listening to the call of the Loons.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Richard P. Deane; two sons, Christopher Deane of Canaan, Mark Deane of Winterport; a brother, Jack Macdonald and his wife “Nita” of Tucson, Arizona; and several beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

The graveside service will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, at 3 p.m., at Maplewood Cemetery in Lincolnville, with the Rev. Dr. Susan Stonestreet officiating. A reception is planned following the service at the Camden American Legion Post 30, at 91 Pearl St., Camden.
