Jan. 7 cancellations in Knox, Waldo counties

    With snow forecasts predicting 4 - 8 inches of snow in the Midcoast today, Jan. 7, 2022, many organizations are closing, cancelling and/or rescheduling their day’s events.

    The Mid-Coast Solid Waste Facility closed at 10 a.m. today, January 7, 2022,  due to weather conditions.  The facility will open on Saturday, January 8,  at 8 a.m., if snow clean up conditions allow for normal hours of operation 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Rockport Town Offices and Library closed Friday, January 7

    The Owls Head Transportation Museum will be closed today due to weather.

    The Knox County Administrative Offices, Knox County Superior Court, and Rockland District Court will all be closed, today Friday January 7, 2022 due to the weather.  They will re-open on Monday January 10, 2022 at 8 a.m.

    Due to a winter storm parking ban, the Castlebay concert scheduled for Friday, Jan. 7, is postponed to Friday, March 4 – already purchased tickets will be honored.

    The Searsport Town Office will be closed today due to the storm. 

    Due to inclement weather, the Belfast Free Library and the Belfast Transfer Station closed at noon.
