Jan. 7 Busline League basketball results
The Busline League continued regular season play for middle school basketball on Monday, Jan. 7 across the Midcoast and several local schools were in action.
Below are the scores and statistics from those games as reported to our sports department.
8th Grade Girls Basketball: Medomak 54, Boothbay 39
Scoring for Medomak were Quinn (17 points), Madi (18), Addison (eight), Chelsea (two) and Emily (nine).
Scoring for Boothbay were A. Barter (two points), M. Gentry (13), A. Bennett (two) and K. Hibbard (20).
“Rachel, Trishelle, Cindy, and Maddison played so good defense and moved the ball very well on offense,” said Medomak coach Celia Philbrick of her players.
8th Grade Boys Basketball: Oceanside 57, Camden-Rockport 28
Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 12-5, 22-15 and 34-22.
Scoring for Oceanside were Alex Bartlett (13 points), Hayden Jacques (nine), Logan Brazier (six), Isaiah Meklin (six), Alex Collins (six), Rhys Jones (five), Andrew Gehouskey (four), Jason Leclerc (four) and Noah Burns (four).
Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Will Smith (11 points), Quincy Messer (10), Owen Berez (four) and Lucas Moody (three).
8th Grade Girls Basketball: Oceanside 70, Camden-Rockport 32
Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 21-14, 38-20 and 56-24
Scoring for Oceanside were A. Hersey (four points), B. Stasulis (six), S. Hansen (four), A. Makie (15), A. Hatch (four), G. an Buskirk (four), E. Sykes (14) and A. Waterman (14).
Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Hannah Christie (two points), Ella Graffam (eight), Gab Genthner (nine), Molly Hixon (six), Mae Dotsie (two), Molly Shook (two) and Rui (two).
