Jan. 16 Busline League basketball results

The Busline League continued regular season play for middle school basketball on Wednesday, Jan. 16 across the Midcoast and several local schools were in action. 

Below are the scores and statistics from those games as reported to our sports department. 

8th Grade Boys Basketball: Medomak 46, Oceanside 39

Oceanside held a 10-7 lead after the opening quarter before Medomak held advantages of 26-18 after the second and 36-30 after the third quarter. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kevin Sincyr (nine points), Blake Morrison (10), Will Cheeseman (six), Gavin Clark (two), Finn Parmley (14) and Matthew Holbrook (five). 

Scoring for Oceanside were J. Leclerc (two points), A. Bartlett (12), H. Jacques (11), R. Jones (two), A. Collins (six), A. Gehousky (two) and I. Meklin (four). 

7th Grade Girls Basketball: Oceanside 26, Medomak 20

Oceanside held a 9-2 advantage after the first, Medomak was up 12-11 after the second and Oceanside led 22-15 after three quarters. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kyllie Blake (six points), Eliza Luce (11) and Haley Puchalski (three). 

Scoring for Oceanside were Caitlin Lamb (two points), Jillian Barnard (two), Maddie Ripley (two), Grace Webber (two) and Shopie Dagget (18). 

7th Grade Boys Basketball: Camden-Rockport 42, Great Salt Bay 17

Camden-Rockport held quarterly advantages of 14-3, 28-10 and 39-12. 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Griffin Spear (three points), Owen Reynolds (16), Karl Hokkanen (two), Will Duke (seven), Alexander Todd (three), August Knause (four), Tristan Strong (two) and Miles Murray (five). 

Scoring for Great Salt Bay were Gabe Hanley (two points), Jasper Famna (five) and Tyson Ball (10). 

7th Grade Boys Basketball: Oceanside 53, Medomak 40

Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 25-10, 33-15 and 45-28.

Scoring for Medomak were Zan Nguyen (11 points), Landon Trask (nine), Kory Donlin (seven), Aaron Reed (six), Connor Benner (two), Henry Gamage (two), Finian Kelly (two) and Sam Moody (one). 

Scoring for Oceanside were Carter Galley (14 points), Landyn Benner (eight), Cohen Galley (seven), Larry Robbins (six), Nathaniel Thompson (six), Robishaw Maddox (four), Ben Tripp (four) and Joey Bell (four).

8th Grade Girls Basketball: Oceanside 58, Medomak 20

Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 17-9, 32-12 and 42-15.  

Scoring for Oceanside were B. Stasulis (five points), S. Hansen (four), A. Mackie (13), A. Hatch (two), G. van Buskirk (five), E. Sykes (13), A. Waterman (16). 

Scoring for Medomak were Overlock (three points), Simmons (seven), Macormick (eight) and Shelnordire (two).
