WASHINGTON - James Francis Coffey, 72, passed away on Aug. 3, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer in Rockport. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia, who bravely lost her battle with cancer in December.

Jim was the son of James and Patricia Coffey, and brother of John Coffey, all of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Morris of Florida; and his brother, William and his wife, Mary, also of Florida.

He was an amazing dad to his son, Joshua and his wife, Carol; and his daughter, Meeghan and her husband, Jim. He was also a terrific stepdad to Brian Barnosky and his wife, Sandra, and Steven Barnosky and his wife, Katie. Jim was the best grandfather, who loved spending time with his eight grandchildren, including Kevin, Alexander, Brandon, Ryan, Michael, Ryan, Addison and Peyton. He was also a special uncle to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to spending time with his family, he loved being in the home he built in Maine, fishing, art and classic cars. He loved his friends and lived life to the fullest.
