Jackson Memorial library to host 5th annual Puzzle Swap

Sun, 01/09/2022 - 9:15am

ST. GEORGE— The Jackson Memorial Library will be hosting their 5th annual puzzle swap on January 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. At this event, guests can drop off gently used puzzles by January 19 and come back on January 22 to get a new-to-you puzzle. To participate, puzzles must be in good condition and have all pieces included. No puzzle donations will be accepted on the day of the event.

It is strongly suggested to sign up for a time slot to shop, which can be done by emailing administrator@jacksonmemoriallibrary.org or by calling the library at 207-372-8961. Visitors can pick out as many puzzles as they contributed to the larger pool, but if more puzzles are desired, they can be purchased for $1.  Images of possible available puzzles can be seen on the library’s Facebook page or website.

Kirk Gentalen of the Maine Coast Heritage Trust will be at this event to take guests on a walk through the library’s woods and marsh areas to look for signs of animal life. The walk will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the swap. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather if you plan to participate.

The library will also be hosting a bake sale during this event or until the goods are sold out.

Masks and social distancing are required at this event.
