SAINT GEORGE — Jaceil Marie (Johnston-Burgess) Sheldon, 68, passed peacefully into Heaven on Tuesday, June 28, 2021 to be with God, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Jaceil is survived by her husband Malcolm Sheldon; son Matthew Burgess and his wife Meredith (Jones) and their two children, Sage & Chloe, all of Maine; two step-sons, Greg Sheldon and his wife Hessie and their two children, Leyla & Luke of Massachusetts, and Mark Sheldon and his wife Deirdre Smith of Maine; nephews, Cory and Troy Dyer and their families of Maine; niece Marsha (Thibodeau) Willett and her husband Tony and their three children in Maine.

Jaceil was predeceased in death by her parents, Carl and Marilyn; siblings, Marilyn “Bunny” in 1979, Carleton, Jr. in 2007, Gerald in 2010; and a daughter, Misty V. Burgess Hathorne.

There will be no funeral or memorial reception for Jaceil, per her request. Burial will be at the family’s convenience, in the family plot, at Sawyer Cemetery in Warren, Maine.
