Graduation honors announced

Islesboro 2019 grads heading to ivy league colleges in U.S., abroad

ISLESBORO — Islesboro Central School has announced graduation honors and post-secondary plans for the Class of 2019.

Valedictorian and Presidential Scholar Finalist Emily Lau will be attending Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

Salutatorian Sanni Cohn will be attending St. Andrews University in Scotland.

Finn Gibson, a National Merit Scholar, will be attending Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

Adin Randlett will be attending Mid Coast School of Technology as a post-graduate in the Marine Systems Technology Program.

Collectively the ICS class of 2019 was admitted to the following institutions;

Amherst College, Barnard College, Boston College, Bowdoin College, Brown University, Bryn Mawr College, Colby College, Haverford College, Hamilton College, LeHigh University, Macalester College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Swarthmore, Vassar College, Williams College, Wesleyan University, Yale University, University of Aberdeen (UK), University of Bristol (UK), University of Glasgow (UK), and University of Stirling (UK).

Islesboro Central School is a public K-12 institution with 90 students located on the island of Islesboro. Islesboro Central School admits day commuter students to grades 7-12 as part of its magnet student program.
