BELFAST — Irene C. Thorndike, 89, of Belfast, entered into God's Kingdom on June 28, 2018.

She was born in Ellsworth on June 24, 1929 to John and Dora (Bunker) Thorndike. Irene graduated from Crosby High School, Class of 1948. She retired in 2005 after working as a clerk at City Hall for 34 years. Irene loved going to lunch and shopping with her brother, Milton and meeting with friends for Bible study. She enjoyed knitting and making mittens with different designs. She will be sadly missed by the many who loved this special lady.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Grove Cemetery in Belfast. Memories and condolences may be offered at www.ripostafh.com. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
