The House of the Architect and the Engineer

Tue, 01/25/2022 - 8:15pm

    For Jason and Amy

    In the 19th Century World

    many of  the engineers

     were Scots

Amy practices on a tiny scale

    her husband, Jason

    designs buildings

    that please teachers and students

of the delightful towns of Maine

for many years I feared dentists

    because of the man Chisholm

    who didn’t use Novacain

but Amy took that all away

and gave me my smile back

and took my pain to the dump

and now she can cure the students

of Owls Head, bright and happy

    in a beautiful building

    and Jason takes his skills

    to the Foxe’s den

    and far Machias

    where the Revolution began

how fortunate the M. family is

    to have these parents

    of two gifted artists

    whose work will go

    on museum walls

    with the gifts given them

    by loving parents
