WALDOBORO — Nine Girl Scout troops recently participated in Thinking Day, an event that celebrates Girl Scout/Girl Guide movements throughout the world.
“A yearly event, Thinking Day is a time for Girl Scouts/Girl Guides from all over the world to remember that we are a part of an international movement,” said Beverly Emerson, of Girl Scout Knox Service Unit.
Saturday, Feb. 16 approximately 50 Scouts from Knox County and Waldoboro attended a local event at the Rockland Salvation Army. In doing so, they represent nine different countries within The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
