ROCKPORT — Camden High School Alumni Association presented 4 scholarships totaling $4000 to Camden Hills Regional High School graduates.
The Association received 110 deserving applications and the Scholarship Committee had to narrow it down to 3 graduating students and 1 postsecondary, according to the Association, in a news release.
The 2019 graduating recipients are Amanda McFarland, of Rockport, and Ilena Adams, of Camden. A special scholarship in memory of Sonny Goodwin was presented to Justin Secotte, of Lincolnville.
The postsecondary recipient is Natasha L. Morong, of Camden.
The CHS Alumni Association will hold its 114th Banquet on Friday, August 9, at Point Lookout in Northport with doors opening at 4 p.m. Tables will be reserved for the reunion classes of ‘44, ‘49, ‘54, ’59 and‘64.
The deadline for buying tickets is Friday, August 2. Ticket prices remain the same at $30 per person. They cannot be purchased at the door.
Obtain tickets by sending a check, payable to CHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, to Sheila McFarland, 448 Youngtown Road, Lincolnville ME 04849. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for ticket return. Also, include a brief informational sheet giving your year of graduation, maiden name, spouse/guest name, etc.

The silent auction will be open starting at 4 p.m., and continue throughout the meal with many great items donated by local businesses and alumni. All donations will be appreciated and can be made at any time from now through August 4.
Leis will be on sale for $5 for the popular “Heads and Tails” game and all proceeds go to the Scholarship Fund.
