Films to stream from the Strand in March

    The Strand Theatre continues to present new release films to stream from their website. Six films will be available throughout the month of March.

     

    Showing March 1 - 31:

    Food Club: In this Danish film, three longtime girlfriends travel to Italy to attend a cooking course, and find a new lease on life. 

    Museum Town: Narrated by Meryl Streep, this documentary tells the story of an unconventional museum, the small town of North Adams, MA it calls home, and the great risk, hope, and power of art to transform a desolate post-industrial city.

    M.C. Escher: Journey to Infinity: Equal parts history, psychology, and psychedelia, Robin Lutz's portrait gives us the man through his own words and images.

     

    Showing March 5 - 31:

    Amundsen: The Greatest Expedition: Explorer Roald Amundsen obsesses with discovering the last uncharted land of the world -- The North Pole -- and will sacrifice everything to fulfill his dream.

    The People vs. Agent Orange: After decades of struggle, two heroic women lead a worldwide movement to end the use of a toxic chemical used in a weed defoliant for farming, forestry, parks, and playgrounds: Agent Orange.

    Stray: A trio of canine outcasts roam the streets of Istanbul; through their eyes and ears, we are shown an intimate portrait of the life of a city and its people.

    Tickets to stream each film are $12 and are available at the Strand Theatre website.
