ROCKPORT — Bay Chamber Concerts will launch its 56th Summer Concert Series on Thursday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House with Opening Night Concert. The evening will include “glorious” German music with a new American quartet by Marriage Suites (Bay Chamber Festival 2015) composer, Missy Mazzoli. Aeolus Quartet will also perform, with celebrated baritone Jesse Blumberg

Tickets for Opening Night are $45 for adults and $10 for those under age 25. This specially priced event includes a champagne reception at Union Hall, just down the street from the Rockport Opera House, following the performance.

On Friday, July 15, at 8:30 p.m. at Union Hall in Rockport, Bay Chamber Concerts presents Green Sneakers, Ricky Ian Gordon's most personal and intimate work. The mini-opera was written in search of solace from grief after the loss of his partner, Jeffrey Grossi, to AIDS, and following their last few months together.

Tickets for Café Night at Union Hall are $35 for adults and $10 for those under age 25.
