“Even I Could Do That!”: Understanding Modern Art Concepts and Studio Workshop, at Quarry Hill
CAMDEN — Quarry Hill presents “Even I Could Do That!”: Understanding Modern Art Concepts & Studio Workshop, to be led by Judy Landry, Quarry Hill program coordinator, and Tara Morin, CMCA program director, Monday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m., at the Anderson Inn.
The two-part program will begin with a presentation on deciphering select modern art pieces that may seem simplistic at first glance but are actually highly illustrative or meaningful — however abstracted or conceptual they may be — followed by an open-ended art exploration of fun drawing and painting exercises aimed at providing a place to begin creating.
"This session is a must for those motivated to create but not sure where to start and are overwhelmed by the blank page," said Quarry Hill, in a news release.
Part of Quarry Hill’s ongoing enrichment series designed for adults aged 50 and better, the program is free, but advance registration is required. To sign up, please call Quarry Hill at 301-6116 or email qhinfo@mainehealth.org.
