BELFAST — Emory D. Boyer, 76, passed away Monday morning, June 25, 2018 at Tall Pines in Belfast, Maine.

He is predeceased by his father Harold A. Boyer, his mother Ellen Boyer, and his brother Richard O. Boyer. He is survived by his brother Alvin E. Boyer, his sister Charlotte P. Macomber, and his daughter Molli L. McBrien-Boyer. Emory was born in Plymouth, MA on February 14, 1942.

He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1961. In 1970, he worked for his father at their family business, the Boyer Color Center. He moved on to become an avid lobsterman, eventually having his own boat built in Nova Scotia. He loved fishing and anything that involved being outdoors, which led him to buy land in Liberty, Maine. He then built his dream log cabin there where he resided for the next 40 years. While living in Maine he made a countless number of close friends and started a family. He began work at the Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, until he retired. During his retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and trips to his sister in law, Bente Boyer's, home in Rocky Nook where the rest of his family resides. Emory lived life to the fullest, making friends wherever he went, he was always kind, compassionate, and had a great sense of humor.

A celebration of life will be held at 68 Shore Drive in Kingston, Massachusetts on August 11th at 2 p.m. All are welcome to join.
