THOMASTON — The Element Furniture showroom is now open for business at 189 Main Street, in Thomaston, Wednesday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. The showroom features a line of locally crafted modular, convertible furniture: a home office, mudroom, pantry, wardrobe, dining ensemble, and add-ons such as bookcases, a console, and a minimalist desk.

Scandavian style in design, these pieces are crafted from wood species common to New England – walnut, cherry, white oak. Other highlights include dovetail joinery, hidden pull-outs, and soft close hardware. All components are compatible and can be combined in unlimited possibilities.

Element Furniture was born as a result of current times, according to the showroom, in a news release. Tim Massey, owner of Endeavour Craftsmen, based in Rockland since 2006, envisioned high quality furniture that fits into small spaces and serves more than one purpose. The inspiration came during this past year as peoples’ lives and work became centered from home.

“Element Furniture provides contemporary good looks with multipurpose practicality,” says Massey.

Clayton Thompson, head designer at Endeavour Craftsmen and creator of their signature furniture and custom cabinetry, developed Massey’s ideas into the line of Element Furniture which he refers to as “convertible spaces.”

A crew of skilled woodworkers, at the Endeavour Craftsmen shop, is an integral part of this new approach to beautiful, functional furniture. Each piece they build is a testament to the work ethic and craftsmanship of the Element team, said the release.

Along with Massey and Thompson, Tim’s son, Tom Massey, serves on the team as director of marketing. He devotes his creative energies to bringing the story of complementary form and function to customers looking to enhance their homes and home work spaces.

Elisa Olds has been brought on board, as showroom manager, to assist with sales and marketing.

Visitors are welcome to tour the showroom Wednesday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. (or by appointment), and enjoy the fare and flair at Flipside Coffee next door, said Element.
