BELFAST — Donna M. (Jackson) Way, 90, of Belfast, passed away peacefully at her home on November 26, 2022 with her family at her side. She was born in Belfast on February 7, 1932, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Smith) Jackson.

Donna married the love of her life, Lawrence (Bub) Way, on November 4, 1949. The couple raised chickens for 10 years and then worked together at Holmes Greenhouse for 50+ years. Donna and Bub proudly celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary earlier this month.

Donna is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bub; her son, Barry Way and partner Lynn Karlin; sisters Mary Benjamin, Jesse Rhodes and husband Milford; brother Hartley Jackson and wife Debbie; grandsons Benjamin Way and partner Liz Lemmon and Adam Way and wife Tracy Boardman; great-grandchildren Bethany and partner Peter, Brandon, Haylen, Harper, Brody and Haidee; and great-grand puppies Tucker, Avah and Noah. In addition, Donna leaves many other family members and friends, whom she loved dearly.

Donna was predeceased by her parents; brothers Olin, Paul, Richard, David, Harold Jr., and Robert; and sisters Dora, Judith and Nancy.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11 a.m., at Riposta Funeral Home, at 182 Waldo Ave., in Belfast. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your favorite charity.
