Dec. 12 Busline League basketball results

The Busline League continued regular season play for middle school basketball on Wednesday, Dec. 12 across the Midcoast and several local schools were in action.

8th Grade Boys Basketball: Medomak 53, Camden-Rockport 30

Medomak held quarterly advantages of 23-6, 34-11 and 42-24. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kevin Sincyr (13 points), Hayden Staples (two), Gaitlin Bedenik (five), Blake Morrison (four), Will Cheeseman (seven), Wyatt Simmons (two), Gavin Clark (three), Finn Parmalee (four), Jaiden Starr (three), Matthew Holbrook (eight) and Ivan Murphy (two). 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Quincy Messer (10 points), Liam O’Dwyer (two), Owen Berez (one), Lucas Moody (five), Cameron Brown (three) and Will Smith (nine). 

7th Grade Girls Basketball: Medomak 27, Camden-Rockport 16

Medomak held quarterly advantages of 7-0, 13-2 and 23-4. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kylie Blake (two points), Eliza Luce (five), Sara Nelson (18) and Haley Puchalski (two). 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Lana Massaigale (two points), Brenna Mackey (two), Lilly Martice (four) and Amelia Johnson (eight). 

“Great defense was played by Kyllie Blake, Sara Nelson and Haley Puchalski,” said Medomak coach Andrea Williamson of her team’s defense. 

7th Grade Boys Basketball: Medomak 42, Camden-Rockport 39

Medomak held an 8-5 lead after the opening quarter before Camden-Rockport took a 25-12 advantage into the halftime pause. Medomak held a 34-30 lead after three quarters.  

Scoring for Medomak were Connor Benner (four points), Nelson Weeks (10), Kory Donlin (four), Landon Trask (six), Zan Nguyen (14) and Finian Kelly (four). 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Owen Reynolds (10 points), Karl Hokkanen (six), Will Duke (seven), Alexander Todd (six), August Knause (four) and Miles Murray (six). 

8th Grade Girls Basketball: Camden-Rockport 38, Medomak 27

Scoring for Medomak were Quinn Overlock (four points), Emily Prock (two), Madi Simmons (five), Addison McCormick (four), Chelsea Sykes (five), Trishelle Ames (two) and Rachel Readinger (five). 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Kayla P. (three points), Hannah C. (six), Ella G. (10), Gabby G. (five), Lauren H. (two), Molly S. (two), Molly H. (four), Addison C. (four) and Mae D. (two).
