David A. Bernosky, obituary

THORNDIKE — David Allan Bernosky, 59, of Thorndike, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 19, 2020 with his mother's arms around him, holding his best friend’s hand, and with his sisters, Sandra and Debbie, by his side. 

He was born in Belfast on March 16, 1960 and was raised in Brooks. 

David served proudly in the United States Army. He was an auto mechanic by trade and formerly worked at Lucas Tree. He enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, being around his family and loving on his beloved dog, Amara.

David was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his father, Ralph B. Bernosky Sr.; his stepfather, Linwood Moon; his brother, Russell; and his great nephew, Tobias.

He is survived by and will be missed by his mother, Harriet Bernosky; his best friend, Meagan Bean and her son Grady; his stepchildren, Emery Tenney and Roger Tenney; his siblings, Belinda Gallant, Ralph Bernosky Jr., Sandra Whitcomb and her husband Gerald, and Debbie Berry and her husband David; his nieces and nephews, Brian, Howard, Melissa, David II, Jessica, Jeannie, Tori, Jamie and Amy, Vicky and Brandi; many great nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Freedom Congregation Church, 45 Pleasant St., Freedom. Visiting hours will be from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service. 

Burial will be announced in the spring.

We, as a family, would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to WCGH Emergency Room, the 2nd floor nursing and hospice staff. You showed great respect and compassion for our loved one. You demonstrated the true meaning of "comfort care."
