ROCKLAND - The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce held its Business After Hours at 250 Main Street on February 15. The new hotel's lobby overflowed with people who enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, drink and conversation. The Pen Bay Chamber of Commerce supports local businesses, residents, and visitors to Midcoast Maine.

Executive Director Tom Peco said this month's event was a little behind schedule.

"We're behind due to the weather this month," he said. "We are thrilled to see a great turn out tonight even though we had to reschedule. People are really loving the venue. One of the things I love to hear at these is how many people are here for the first time and haven't been in this particular business before."

Peco said one of the reasons the chamber does these events is so people can get out and go places they haven't been before.

"We are hearing a lot of that tonight, which is great," he said. "The next event is at Michael Good Gallery in Rockport on March 14. We're generally the second Wednesday, five to seven and we rotate the location."

Peco also mentioned that April 11, will bring their Business Expo at the Samoset Resort.
