Cecile Fourneri, obituary and service notice
ROCKLAND — Cecile Fournier, 85, died June 12, 2015, at the Sussman Hospice House in Rockport, surrounded by her family after a one-week illness.
Born in St. Philibert, Quebec, Canada, on June 14, 1929, she was one of 11 children of Thommy and Elise Morin Begin.
She was a devoted, loving mother, who invested her life in her three daughters. She was always concerned about others.
Predeceased by her husband, Franklin F. Fournier in 1976, Cecile is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Doreen and Tobi Harkins of Waldoboro, Deborah and Stephen Morrison II of Rockland, and Connie and Robert Lord Jr. of Somerville; three siblings, Huguette Morin of Jackman, Henry Paul Begin and his wife, Mary Rose, of St. Philibert, Canada, and John Begin and his wife, Betty, of Connecticut; four grandchildren, Amanda Wood and her husband, Tim, Hilary Harkins, Monica Dentici and her husband, Carl, and Stephen Morrison III; one great-grandchild, Eli Wood; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, June 16 from 1 to 2 p.m. with a celebration of Cecile's life to be held immediately following at 2 pm. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland. A reception will follow the service at 104 Limerock.
