OWLS HEAD – Carolyn J. Elliott, 78, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and navigator, died Jan. 12, 2017, surrounded by her family at her home, following an extended illness.

Born in Rockland on Aug. 22, 1937, she was the daughter of Fred A. and Nathalie Robbins Snow.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by a granddaughter, Elise Kathryn Frontin in 1995; her sister, Jacquelyn Paul in 2003; and her son-in-law, Donald F. Ridgeway Jr. in 2006. She is survived by her husband and soulmate, Daniel A. Elliott Sr.; her children, Daniel A. Elliott Jr. and his wife, Dawn, and their children, Audrey and Gavin Elliott, all of Owls Head, Kathryn S. Elliott and her children, Nicholas and Kristopher Frontin, and their father, Ronald Frontin, all of South Thomaston, and Joan E. Ridgeway and her daughter, Avens, of Union; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit on Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland.
