CAMDEN — The Camden-Rockport eighth grade boys basketball team hosted Great Salt Bay in Camden on Thursday, Dec. 5. 

After the opening quarter, Great Salt Bay held a 19-11 advantage. 

Camden-Rockport then held leads of 40-24 and 51-33, respectively, after the second and third quarters. 

The host Schooners collected a 68-42 victory. 

Scoring for Great Salt Bay were Spencer McDaniel (one point), Lucas Houghton (12), Gabe Hagar (12), Ben Palmer (seven), Casey Duncan (seven) and Lincoln Bragg (two). 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Owen Reynolds (18 points), Ryan Glaser (two), Liam O’Dwyer (two), Will Duke (six), Quincy Messer (16), Alex Todd (five) and Hunter Bell (19). 

The next contest for Camden-Rockport will be Monday, Dec. 9 on the road against Medomak.
