Camden Opera House has issued the following statement:

As is the case with all group gathering places, the Camden Opera House has shut its doors to the public for the time being. And as a Department of the Town of Camden, the Opera House has gone into remote mode … and is looking ahead.

All previously scheduled events for March and April have been canceled or postponed. These include the April 11 MaineMadeMusic concert by Oshima Brothers, the popular sibling duo of Sean and Jamie Oshima, who are Camden Hills Regional High School alums and current Belfast residents. Their concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 28, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets already purchased for the April concert will be honored in June. Those unable to attend the rescheduled date may arrange for a refund by contacting Box Office Manager Dagney Ernest at dernest@camdenmaine.gov.

Other events have been rescheduled for later in the year, and new shows are being added. Updates are added as they occur to www.camdenoperahouse.com and the opera house’s Facebook page.

The staff of the Camden Opera House joins its friends and supporters in staying safe, strong, healthy and hopeful.
