Camden Hills Boys and Girls Tennis Teams take North Regional title; next stop, State Championship games
Camden Hills Boys tennis defeated Bangor/Nokomis for the 2025 North Regional Title, and Camden Hills Girls tennis defeated Brunswick for the 2025 North Regional Title.
The boys team had gone into the June 9 game with a 13-1 record, facing Bangor with its 12-2 record.

Individual results, with Camden Hills’ players listed first, were: In singles, Will Meyer defeated Nate Grunkemeyer 6-1, 6-0; Oscar Barnes defeated Josh Grunkemeyer 7-5, 6-4; and Joey Scordino defeated John Varvados 6-2, 6-4.
In doubles, Charlie Nicolet and Toby Van Hoewyk defeated Sam Shterenberg and Brandon Brozman 6-3, 6-3; and Graham Eggena and Blake Christie defeated Frida Holeshu and Paul Friess 6-3, 7-6(1).
Girls

Individual results, with Camden Hills’ players listed first were: in singles, Hattie Moss lost to Molly Tefft 5-7, 3-6; Charlotte Delehey defeated Ellie Meserve, 6-3, 6-2; and Atalanta Roberts defeated Lila Patient, 6-0, 6-4.
In doubles, Rana Abess and Oliva Van Hoewyk defeated Izzy Leitzell and Olivia Patient 6-2, 6-2; and Corynn Prescott and Abby Aldridge-Peacock defeated Bella Farkas and Sophia Robertson 6-4, 7-5.
On Wednesday, June 11, the Camden tennis girls and boys will be playing the State Championship game against Falmouth at Bates College.
On June 6, Chills Boys defeated Mt. Ararat 5-0 in the semi-finals, and at Camden Hills on June 4, the Windjammers caged the Eagles for a 5-0 win.
