NORTH BERWICK — The Belfast wrestling program traveled to North Berwick to compete in the annual Noble Invitational held Friday, Dec. 27 and Saturday, Dec. 28 at Noble High School. 

The Lions sent 19 wrestlers to compete in 12 weight divisions. 

Following the two days of the invitational, the Lions finished in fifth place as a team with 119 points. 

Placing for the Lions were Connor Fournier (fourth), Jonah Lovejoy (sixth), Gabe Kelley (sixth), Elijah Charbonnier (sixth), Joshua Fairbrother (sixth), Brian White (third) and Cam Watts (second). 

Below are the complete results involving the Belfast wrestlers. 

106 pounds: Connor Fournier pinned Gianni Ciotti (Plymouth), defeated Jace Patel (Wells), pinned by Julian Henderson (Camden Hills), defeated Caleb Chamberland (Mount Ararat) and pinned by Alexander Marchand (Noble). 

106 pounds: Hagen Chase defeated Gabriel Randall (Nokomis), pinned by Griffin Brickett (Wells) and pinned by David Wheeler (Noble). 

113 pounds: Gavynn Young pinned Anunthaya MacDonnell (Falmouth), lost by technical pin to Derek Cote (Noble) and pinned by Aiden O’Connor (Noble). 

113 pounds: Junne Robertson-McIntire pinned by Carter Dickinson (Spaulding) and pinned by Isaac Ruehl (Mount Ararat). 

132 pounds: Kaden Bonin pinned Will Colby (Windham/Gray-New Gloucester), pinned by Josh Cote (Noble), pinned Logan Bailey (Spaulding) and pinned by James Philbin (Plymouth). 

138 pounds: Mike Hamm pinned by Mason Lessard (Plymouth), pinned Damien Gilley (Winslow) and pinned by Robert Pilecki (Noble). 

145 pounds: Jonah Lovejoy pinned Asa Wareham (Westbrook/Gorham), lost by majority decision to Ian Henderson (Camden Hills) and pinned Isaac Gordan (Mountain Valley), won by majority decision against Hunter Chase (Spaulding), pinned by Caden Kowalsky (Mount Ararat) and pinned by Cole Cadwallader (Noble). 

152 pounds: Gabe Kelley pinned Abdullah Abdullah (Portland/South Portland), pinned Joseph D’Ambrouso (Plymouth), pinned by Logan Rendell (Noble), pinned Justin Buller (Noble), won by majority decision against  Alex Rachkoskie (Noble), pinned by Joseph Cleary (Plymouth) and lost by majority decision against Owen McDuffie (Windham/Gray-New Gloucester). 

160 pounds: Brooke Richards pinned Jasmin Baldwin (Spaulding), pinned by Christian St. Hilaire (Lisbon/Oak Hill), pinned Alexia Hopkins (Belfast) and pinned by Matthew Cleary (Plymouth).
